Hargeysa (RBC) The health minister of the breakaway region of Somaliland has strongly denounced the visit by the Puntland vice president at Taleh district on the Sool regon, where the two administrations each claim.
Suleiman Ahmed Isse [better known as Xaglatosiye] who spoke with local media in Hargeysa on Wednesday has earned the neighborhood semi-autonomous region of Puntland to immediately halt the visit referring that such step may hinder the peace and stability in the region.
“The visit by Puntland vice president to Taleh district is is a total aggression and unlawful against Somaliland entity.” Xagltosiye told reporters in his press conference at Hargeysa.
The minister said such visit will create security crisis in the already volatile region where the two administrations claim its ownership.
Puntland’s vice president Abdisamad Ali Shire accompanied by several government officials have been in Taleh town since Monday for what the region described as official visit.
Meanwhile a Khatumo state minister, which is a third administration claiming the region has recently warned the visit of the Puntland vice president in the region to be politicized.
