Kismayo (RBC Radio) The organizing committee of Kismayo conference for establishment of Jubbaland State has categorically declined that members of Inter-governmental Authority on Development known as IGAD is allegedly meddling with Kismayo conference.
Mo’allim Mohammad the chairman of Kismayo conference organizing committee affirmed that the conference is based on the desire of the people of the three provinces (Gedo, Middle and Lower Jubba). It’s their decision he said to hold this conference and they are united about bringing lasting peace to these three provinces.
“Kismayo conference has sprung from the desire of the people dwelling the Jubbas and Gedo. They made a decision to establish a broad based administration without foreign interference. I reiterate my appeal to the Somali government to support the conference” Said Moalim Mohammad.
Moalim Mohammad also indicated the conference is going on smoothly and that they will soon finalize the selection of the delegation that will be selecting the president of Jubbaland State.
