Garowe (RBC News) Puntland president Dr Abdurrahman Mohammad Farole has officially opened yesterday a new presidential palace located in the outskirts of the capital, Garawe.
A large number of Puntland authorities and other dignitaries have attended the inauguration ceremony of the new presidential palace. Among these dignitaries the Vice-president Gen. Abdisamad Ali Shire, the speaker of the parliament Abdurashid Mohamed Hirsi, members of the cabinet, MPs, religious scholars, officials from Ethiopian consulate and delegates from United Nations and many more.
This new presidential palace comprises of two complexes which will be accommodating the president and the vice-president’s families and offices’ section.
Speaking at the opening ceremony the president has talked about the achievement of his government and the on-going projects that the government is undertaking like the construction of a new presidential palace, the construction of media house and renovation and expansion airports like Bosaso airport.
The president has also once again shown his support for on-going Kismayo conference fore establishment of regional state calling on the Somali federal republic to resolve the differences between them and Kismayo interim administration.
