Nairobi (RBC) Nairobi police released the photo of a suspect who is being sought in connection to an explosion in a Nairobi minibus (matatu) which claimed the lives of six people and wounded 30 others.
The suspect, identified by police as Hussein Nur Mohamed, is estimated to be 21 years old. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, according to local media.
Detectives revealed that the man detonated the improvised device he had left in the matatu by remote control.
The blast occurred on Juja Road, outside Pangani Girls High School, a few seconds after the man alighted at the Chai Road junction.
Meanwhile the police confirmed the arest of at least one other suspect. Nairobi police chief Benson Kibue said a suspect was being questioned over the attack on the 32-seat minibus.
