Mogadishu (RBC) The cabinet of the ministers of the federal government of Somalia have on Sunday discusses the country’s 2014 budget, RBC Radio reports.
A press release from the cabinet meeting said that the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon discussed very broad on the 2014 government budget which is expected to submit to the parliament.
“Our estimation of the 201 budget will be $219 million which is very bigger than previous year.” the country’s Finance Minister Mohamud Hassan Suleyman said.
According to the cabinet press release up-to $128 million will be generated from local income as $91 million of this budget will come from foreign donation.
“We have allocated $137 million for the development of people and this sum will not go through government but will be directed to the people” the Finance Minister added.
Meanwhile the government ministers were briefed by ministerial committees who have recently returned from Middle Shabelle, Lower Shabelle and Hiiraan regions following clan fighting and national disasters including floods and displacement.
