“We have took Turkey intransit to Somalia,. and 10 police officers from Amsterdam were onboard on the airplane.” Gedi told local media in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
He said three the young men from Norway were also thrown back to Somalia.
“They transferred me to Gen. Gafow who is the head of the directorate of the immigration of the federal government of Somalia” Gedi added.
He said officials from International Organization for Migration (IOM) were also present at the airport.
Gedi who has been living in Netherlands as asylum seeker since 2009, complained that even his belongings were taken away by the Amsterdam police and the Somali government officials could not help him to receive his belongings.
On the other hand Gen. Abdullahi Gafow, the directorate of the immigration of the federal government of Somalia denied the existence of any memorandum of understanding between Netherlands and the Somali government to forcibly return the asylum seekers from Netherlands to Somalia.
“These people were those who approved to voluntarily return back to their home country.” Gafow said.
Last week, Mogadishu immigration officials rejected a chartered flight from Netherlands carrying more than four Somali asylum seekers whom their applications were denied by the government of Netherlands.
