bbbbBaydhaba (RBC) Elders and politicians from Baay and Bakool regions have announced to start a fresh endeavor to establish a new administration for six Southern Somalia regions, RBC Radio reports.

Malaq Ali Ahmed, one of the leading elders of this initiative said that they have invited delegates from the six southern regions including Baay, Bakool, Lower Jubba, Middle Jubba, Gedo and Lower Shabelle regions to attend a wider consultative meeting in Baydhaba.

According Malaq Ahmed the representatives from the regions will be inclusive and that all clans will have the chance to attend and become part of the initiative.

Showing his outrage against the newly formed Jubba interim administration, Malaq Ahmed said that nobody could have the authority to set up an administration “for a region he does not belong”.

Currently the region of Lower Jubba is controlled by the new Jubba administration and the Gedo region has its own administration under the federal government of Somalia while Middle Jubba region is run by Al Shabab.

Analysts believe that setting up new and rival administrations based on clan interests could hinder the flourishing security in the country and would eventually obstacle against the improvement of the federal institutions of Somalia.
