Mogadishu (RBC) The third session of Somalia Federal Parliament has opened in Mogadishu on Tuesday which has come the first anniversary of the election of the country’s president, RBC Radio reports.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has addressed the opening ceremony of the parliament stating his leadership’s achievement in the past year.
“Our main target is to reach one man one vote in the year 2016.” president Mohamud said.
“There will no any extension after the end of my term” he added.
President Mohamud also touched his government’s success towards national reconciliation as he also promised national rebuilding project in the country backed by foreign friends.
The Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Mohamed Osman Jawari said the third session will contain several big legislations including review of the recently tabled bills by the cabinet of ministers.
The Speaker called the Members of the Parliament who have not yet returned back to the country to come for the parliament sessions.
