Mogadishu (RBC) Two big explosions were heard near the busy Village Restaurant in Mogadishu’s Hamarweyne neighborhood, RBC Radio reports.
According to RBC Radio reporter, the first blast hit a car parking outside the Village Restaurant, which is few metres away from the main entrance of the Villa Somalia Presidential Compound. Few minutes later a car loaded with explosives struck on the other side of the restaurant.
Initial reports say the explosions seemed terrorist activities targeted to the restaurant which was earlier targeted by Al Shabab.
Reports about casualties could not be verified yet.
The security forces of the federal government of Somalia have reached the area as they immediately cordoned off.
