The federal government of Somalia has on the first time reacted against boycott announced by Baay abd Bakool regions on the country’s southern regions.
The presidential spokesman Abdurahman Omar Osman has said the agreement signed in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa was very significant in the country’s reconciliation process and that the agreement would lead to end the crisis in southern regions of Somalia.
“The government is committed to move forward in the reconciliation efforts.” The Villa Somalia spokesman said.
“A reconciliation conference was declared soon in the capital which we intend to mediate between the clans.” He said.
The reaction from the government came a day after two regions on the south of the country announced boycott against the federal government’s move towards Addis Ababa agreement.
