Beijing (RBC) The People’s Republic of China has said that it will resume its diplomatic mission in Somalia after more than two decades of wars and insecurity has led to closure of international diplomatic mission in the horn of African nation.
Somalia’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister Fawsiya Yusuf Haji Aden who is currently visiting china has said that Somali government has donated a land for china to rebuild its embassy in Mogadishu.
“We are grateful for the role and the preparedness of the people and the government of China, because China still remembers Somalia when Somalia was one of few states voted in favor for China when it was loping for the membership f the UNSC.” Fawsiya told the state media.
Meanwhile the state media of the federal government of Somalia has reported on Monday that china has pledged reconstruction of three social service facilities including a mother and child hospital, the national theatre and the Mogadishu stadium.
