Puntland vice president Abdisamed Ali Shire
Garowe (RBC) Puntland vice president Abdisamed Ali Shire has visited today Taleh district of Sool region making his first visit to the region in years, RBC Radio reports.
Mr Shire accompanied by several Puntland ministers and security officials have reached Taleh district this morning as he has commenced meeting with the locals.
The aim of the visit was immediately unclear but there has been speculations on the vice president’s visit to the region where the Puntland, Somaliland and Khaatumo administrations have disputing its control.
There were no any comments from Khaatumo state which now administers the area. According to vice president’s media officials the visit will last within the coming three days amid holding discussions with the local elders and other members of the community.
