Mogadishu (RBC News) Abdi Farah Shirdon, the prime minister of Somali federal government has wrapped up his tour to regional countries today. Mr Shirdon and the other delegate who accompanied him arrived at Mogadishu’s Adan Adde international airport where they received a warm welcome from members of both councils of the government the cabinet and the parliament.
In a press conference he held at the airport, Mr Shirdon briefed the media about his tour to neighbouring nations and beyond.
“I went on long business tour to several countries including the countries contributing to AMISOM troops in Somalia and we discussed about security, the war on terror and political cooperation” Said Mr Shirdon.
The prime minister’s visit to neighbouring countries is part of on-going effort in which Somalia is seeking to build friendly relationship with its neighbours. During his tour to these nations the prime minister thanked them for the sacrifice their men and women in uniform are doing Somalia.
