Mogadishu (RBC News) The president of Somalia has arrived in Mogadishu earlier this morning. Hassan Sheik has left for Kenya yesterday to attend Kenya’s newly elected president Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta’s inauguration and sworn-in ceremony.
The president and his delegation were received at Adan Adde International Aiport by members from both the cabinet and legislation council.
The security of major roads in Mogadishu has been fortified this morning and army units were being spotted patrolling in the city in an effort to secure the areas they were deployed.
During his visit to Nairbo Hassan Sheik Mahamud met with Kenya’s new president Uhuru Kenyatta and discussed about the two countries relationship, the Somali refugees in Kenya and improving regional security. Hassan Sheik told his Kenyan counterpart that he’ll cooperate with countries hosting Somali refugees around the world.
