Nairobi (RBC) Omar Hammami, the most prominent American-born jihadi who is member of Al Shabab group in Somalia has threatened to attack the U.S interest in the world to revenge on the $5 million bounty on his head by the U.S government.

“I believe in attacking U.S. Interests everywhere,” Omar Hammami who also uses Abu Mansur Al Amriki said in an interview with Danger Room website, through Twitter’s direct message function.

“U.S policy is the factor defining specific target, but fighting is part of the religion” Hammami says also.

The website says Omar Hammami was speaking from an undisclosed location in Somalia, he grows vegetables, helps his wives around the house, and trolls his one-time colleagues in A Shabab on Twitter.

According to local new sources, Omar Hammami was seen in Barawe town the biggest Al Shabab stronghold in the southern Somalia where he addresses in a mosque with his fellow jihadi men.  Sources say that Omar Hammami now uses special body guards for his own to protect his life from Al Shabab’s amniyat [the secret forces].

At the end of last year, the Al Shabab group, an affiliated to Al Qaeda issued a press statement against Hammami while he started criticizing directly the behavior of Al Shabab’s top commander Ahmed Abdi Godane.  One time Hammami told in a recorded video clip on the YouTube that he fears he will be killed by Al Shabab.

His new threat against U.S interest came just after a month when the White House pledged $5 million bounty on the head of Omar Hammami, 28-year-old Alabama native.
