Mogadishu (RBC) Somalia federal parliament has on Monday formed new committee to probe up five dead bodies found in Mogadishu streets three weeks ago, RBC Radio reports.
MP Abdihakin Igge Guled, the head of the parliament committee said that they have started gathering information about the killing of five teenagers who were allegedly imprisoned by the national security and later their dead bodies found at Industrial Road at Dayniile neighborhood in Mogadishu in the mid of March.
The bodies found were shot at the head and all had the impact of severe punishment on their bodies, local report shows.
“Our committee will continue a fact finding mission to probe this case and we are confident to present a full and detailed examination to the parliament.” MP Guled said.
The uncleared brutal killing of the five alleged prisoners sent shockwaves through Mogadishu residents and has led fear among the public following the return of security and stability to the capital.
Both Somalia’s Criminal Investigation Department and the National Security did not reveal any comments about the killed bodies left on the streets. But during a cabinet meeting in the mid of March, Somali prime minister Abdi Farah Shirdon announced a three ministers committee to investigate the case of the dead bodies which did not bring any report at the time.
