Baidabo (RBC Radio) The African Union Mission{ AMISOM} held a meeting with elders from Bay and Bakool in Baidabo town the headquarters of Bay region, the main agenda and purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues pertaining to the exit of the Ethiopians from Hudur town which is the headquarters of Bakool region.
This meeting took place when yesterday, the commander of the amisom force Andrew Gutti promised and assured the residents of Bay and Bakool of their security, in the meeting officials of the Amisom force promised that the African Mission army will reach all the areas and towns which the Ethiopians left and also insure peace and security in all those areas.
The officials said that preparations are ongoing and plans to dispatch troops to the affected areas in the coming days to maintain security in places where the Ethiopian cleared.
“It is our duty and responsibility to bring Somalia back on it is feet, we will make sure that there will peace and stability all across the country”. Officials said.
On their side, elders from Bay and Bakool said that, they are ready to work with the Amisom forces and give their full support in order to bring peace to those regions
