Mogadishu (RBC Radio) There will be no shortcomings in terms of security in Bay and Bakool, according to Amisom force’s commander in Somalia.
“Immediately after the exit of the Ethiopian army Amisom will take control” Commander Lieutenant General Andrew Gutti who was speaking to the french news agency AFP affirmed.
Commander Gutti also promised the residents of Bay and Bakool that, the amisom forces will make sure that Al-shabaab will not be able to take control of those areas, which he said will in turn bring intimidation from Al-shabaab upon the residents.
The commander also added that it is their duty as “The African Union Mission” to bring to an end the Al-shabaab group.
“We have the ability to reach each and every corner of Somalia where the citizens need our help and as a matter of confirmation we will maintain the security of the citizens who reside in areas of Bay and Bakool”. said Commander Gutti.
This statements came at a time when the Ethiopian army left the areas of HUDUR { the prime capital of BAKOOL } after which al-shabaab took control.
