KENYA: UN Security Council deplores terrorist attack in Nairobi business building

New York (RBC) The UN Security Council has condemned the terrorist attack in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

A statement from the council said that the council condemned the attack “in the strongest possible terms”.

“The members of the Security Council expressed their solidarity with the people and Government of Kenya at this difficult time,” the statement added.

Soon after the attack started on Saturday Al Shabab group claimed that its gunmen had killed 100 people.

The Kenyan officials now said the dead people are 59 while more than 275 were wounded in the attack.

Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has also condemned the attack while the prime minister of Somalia Abdi Farah Shirdon talked the Kenyan president on the phone and expressed his condolences to the people and the government of Kenya in this difficult time.
