Buloburde (RBC) The rebel group in Somalia, Al Shabab has executed two of its fighters on Wednesday in central region after alleging a plot attempt against a senior commander, RBC Radio reports.
Crowds of people have gathered in an open field in the town of Buloburde town of Hiran region to watch the execution if the two young men who were alleged of plot attempt and spying for “the foreigners” in Somalia.
Al Shabab’s Hiran commander Sheikh Mohamed Mire claimed that after a long investigation they have found that the two men were planning assassination attempt against Fu’ad Mohamef Khalaf (known as Shongole) who is a senior Al Shabab commander and biggest propagandist in Al Shabab ideology.
According to unnamed eyewitness, a firing squad of masked men from of Al Shabab fighters opened fire against the two men and killed them.
The execution came as the conflict between Al Shabab senior commanders have risen after the group assassinated two senior commanders in Barawe town on June this year.
