Mogadishu (RBC) Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon is in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he is paying his first official visit to the Arab world.
According to prime minister’s spokesman Rodwan Haji Abdiweli, the prime minister of Somalia has landed at Jeddah town late on Friday night where he has commenced his visit.
“The prime minister will meet senior officials including ministers, and other government officials.” Ridwan told local media.
The prime minister is scheduled to hold high level discussions with the Saudi king and foreign minister to raise the brotherly relations between the two states.
The kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as one of the wealthiest Arab nations in the word has been long time assisting Somalia’s humanitarian and
reconciliation efforts as the kingdom already announced that it will be joining the world nations attempting to help recovery of the horn of African nation.
Somalia has now transformed from a failed state into a fragile nation amid returning peace and tranquility following the election of the new federal government of Somalia and establishing new parliament last year.
