MOGADISHU (RBC) The new Somalia police chief and the head of the national security and intelligence agency took their offices today after they have officially sworn in on Sunday, RBC Radio reports.
The two officials were endorsed by the country’s cabinet of ministers during its weekly meeting on Thursday.
Gen Bashir Mohamed Jama was appointed as the new Somalia National Security and Intelligence Chief and Gen Abdihakim Dahir Sa’id “Saacid”, who is the former deputy police commander as the new police head.
On Sunday, Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud urged the two men to work hard for preventing the country’s security and eliminating the terrorists.
