Bosaso (RBC News) Thirteen convicted Alshabab members including one woman have been executed by law enforcement forces of Puntland today in Bosaso. The thirteen executed criminals were serving in Bosaso prison waiting for their execution after a court ruling months ago
According to reports reaching Raxanreeb Radio news desk, a firing squad was ordered to take the prisoners to a nearby clearing and execute them.
Three of the thirteen condemned criminals were convicted in the killing of a well-known Islamic scholar across Somalia used to be named as Dr Ahmed Haji Abdurrahman who has been killed in late 2011 in Bosaso.
Some of the other ten executed criminals are condemned to death for carrying out explosions which claiming the lives of many civilians as well as Puntland government officials in several Puntland cities while the others sentenced to death for carrying out organized killing in Garawe, Galkayo and Bosaso.
Today’s execution becomes the largest one to have ever been carrying out by Puntland since its establishment in 1998.
