Mogadishu (RBC News) Government forces have launched security operations today in some districts of the capital Mogadishu. Units of Somali and AMISOM Police forces have taken part in this security operation.
The operations which centred in the district of Yaqshiid of the city led to the detention of hundreds of youth that were taken from their houses during the operation on suspicion grounds.
Arafat neighbourhood of Yaqshiid district has witnessed the intensity of this operation whereby it caused disruptions to public transport movements and local businesses. The detainees were collected in open area of this neighbourhood.
