Mogadishu (RBC) The president of Somalia Federal Government Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and the foreign minister Fawsiya Yusuf have returned back to the capital on Sunday after attending Bahar Dar Forum for Security and Organized Crimes in Ethiopia, RBC Radio reports.
Senior government officials including the prime minister and the speaker of the parliament welcomed the president upon his arrival on Aden Adde International Airport, where the foreign minister briefed the media.
“We have returned back to Mogadishu today after attending very important meeting in Ethiopia. It was a wider gathering on security on Africa.” Somalia foreign minister and deputy prime minister Fawsiya Yusuf told reporters at the airport.
“The meeting focuses on security and why are wars occurring in some countries and what the solutions might be.” she added.
Speaking at the two days Bahar Dar Forum for Security and Organized Crimes in Ethiopia, president Mohamud has warned that the African leaders will not see stable Somalia if the problems are Africanized.
He has called the African leaders to help tackle not only terrorism and piracy in the Somali coast but also eradicating illegal fishing, toxic waste dumping and the export of forest charcoal.
