Mogadishu (RBC) Somalia Federal Parliament has summoned the interior minister a day after questioning the country’s premier in a deliberative session on Saturday, RBC Radio reports.
Somalia prime minister Abdi Farah Shirdon responded to the country’s legislators during tough parliament inquiry on security, government’s agreement with foreign states and other achievement during its first 100 days.
“During the first 100 days in office my cabinet achieved two official agreements; one with Turkey and the other with Norway government.” the prime minister told the parliament. “We have already copied the two agreements with the parliament.”
Referring another question on the security, the prime minister whispered that the government designed a full stabilization and security plan under the interior ministry which he said should ease restoring peace in the country.
“The government also took over the Grand National Security and Stabilization Plan which was premeditated by IGAD countries and that will help the government to have its responsibility in administration formation and securing the liberated regions.” the prime minister emphasized.
The Saturday’s session, chaired by the deputy speaker Mahad Abdallah Awad awhich attracted more than 190 legislators came following a thirty MPs’ motion tabled last week against the current cabinet.
Deputy speaker of the parliament Mahad Abdallah Awad has also announced that the house summoned the interior minister on Sunday to reply questions concerning the operation of the ministry.
