Denmark(RBC Radio) A court a Denmark has sentenced two Somali citizens to prison, the two were accused of being members of Al-shabaab group.
Guled Mohamed Warsame and Noor Mohamed Warsame who are brothers were both charged on different accounts.
Guled 24, was charged by the court for undergoing military training inside Somalia at the al-shabaab military training bases and therefore sentenced to three years in prison together with his younger brother who was accused of sending money to Guled while he was in Somalia.
The younger brother Noor Warsame 19, was also given similar sentence of three years in prison.
Both brothers denied the charges saying they have done nothing wrong and neither were they members of Al-shabaab and that, they will appeal against the judges verdict.
The mother of the boys Duniyo Noor Roble, echoed her children’s sentiments saying,”They have no single idea of the accusations that were brought to court”.
The mother also claimed that, the prison sentence given to her two boys was not justified.
Even though the two brothers were sentenced to prison, they hold certificate of citizenship of Denmark, a country where they lived for the past 16 years in Aarhus the second-largest city in Denmark.
