Mogadishu (RBC) Politicians and members of the federal parliament of Somalia have repeatedly called president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to fire the security officials after failing to protect the civilians in the capital from terrorist attacks.
“The bleeding civilians urgent and timely intervention as the current government did nothing to protect the people slaughtered everyday.” former Prime Minister of Somalia Transitional Government Ali Mohamed Gedi said.
Gedi who lives in Nairobi, Kenya said the terrorist attacks came following weakness emerged from the current security officials as he alleged the government for not hiring the competent officials for the security offices.
Meanwhile members of the country’s federal parliament have constantly repeated calls to the president to sack the interior minister whom they believe he failed to crackdown the growing insecurity and targeted attacks in the capital.
The calls came a day after deadly suicide blasts in Mogadishu’s Village restaurant killed more than 20 people, injuring dozens. The attacks immediately claimed the rebel group of Al Shabab.
There were no any reactions from the security officials and the interior minister towards the calls from the MPs and politicians.
