Speaker parliament, prof. Mohammad Sh. Isman Jawaari
Mogadishu (RBC Radio) The speaker parliament, prof. Mohammad Sh. Isman Jawaari has lashed out today at some MPs who are part of permanent internal committees of the parliament accusing them of neglecting their duties.
Mr Jawari stated that there are members of permanent internal committees of Somali Federal Parliament who he said have not yet attended sessions that internal committees hold “ being absent from internal committees sessions is like being absent from parliamentary sessions” said Jawari.
The speaker indicated that the biggest task ahead of the parliament is to hold the government accountable for what it does and to do so he said it’s important to maintain attending sessions that are held by different internal committees of the parliament.
Finally the speaker urged on members of the parliament to live up to their duties so as to serve the public interest and the sametime show a sense of patriotism.
